Sledding Mauna Kea

We took a trip up to Mauna Kea to go sledding, I guess I should say boogie boarding! We had a blast except we had no gloves and not the best clothing so we froze. Gracie wanted to stay in the car and just watch but, we did get her and Katelyn to go on the boogie board with Dad. Family picture that is snow behind us!

Christmas Eve and Day

We had a wonderful Christmas and hope all the readers of this blog did too! As you can see I am not big on taking tons of pictures on Christmas day. I run the video camera and it definitely catches the moment better with the girls screaming for joy and excitement! New PJ's! Katelyn was so excited to open her present on Christmas Eve even though everyone told her it was PJ's! Children are so fun at Christmas!
All Gracie talked about getting for Christmas was a PINK DS (Leapster)! This was her outfit all day on Christmas till we had to fight her to put clothes on to go see a movie!

Gracie was so cute, when Santa sat down in front of all the kids I asked her if she wanted to sit on his lap she said yes, stood up, walked through the crowd of children, and sat down on his lap! She told him she wants a pink DS.

Recently Gracie has been taking off her shirt and refusing to wear it! I told her she is a girl not a boy and has to wear a shirt so now she takes her shirt off and says I a boy!

Katelyn's Rock Project

I forgot how hard 2nd grade was until Katelyn came home with a homework project her assignment was to find 6 different kinds of rocks and 2 different kinds of sand. Okay we live on an island made of Lava that is ONE! Now what? Thank goodness for Dad he had plenty of samples of rocks from his job granite, limestone, marble, slate, oh and after some research there are actually different kinds of lava! Go figure! Katelyn did really well presenting her project in front of the class! Now we have to grow a plant! Yeah!

So today while I was making macaroni and cheese Gracie came into tell me that the money was all gone! What?? Then I remembered the penny from this morning on the living room floor that she had put in her mouth, I scolded her and told her money was yucky and dirty, I forgot to pick it up!! I then asked her where the money had gone she said "I ate it! It's all gone!" So much for my scolding!! I hope it comes out okay!!

Halloween

We had fun this Halloween we went truck or treating at the church, Katelyn had a class party and parade at the school, and of course trick or treating. My kids make me laugh last year Gracie cried the last block of trick or treating because, she didn't want anyone touching her bag because she thought they were taking her candy, not giving her more. This year Katelyn wined the last two blocks because her legs hurt and wouldn't walk up to any more houses.

Why do we even go trick or treating?? FOR DAD!!!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch after church all the pumpkins

were sold so we had to take pictures with the scarecrows

and straw which Gracie couldn't stand the feel of the straw!

Katelyn got her face painted while Gracie played fish pond, lucky duck, and hit the frog.

Candy Corn Anyone???

Gracie saw the candy corn on the counter and thought they looked fun to stick in her nose of course when I saw she yanked them out quickly. I laughed and told her I wanted a picture she was more then happy to stick them back in her nose! I don't know if that is a good thing because now she thinks besides eating them you put them in your nose!
